3.5 Years Post Relaxer Flat Iron + Length Check

4th of July nail tutorial!

Hello heartbreakers! When it comes to the holidays...I'm all about celebrating with fierce themed nails. So I thought I would share my simple video tutorial on how to get this patriotic manicure! I actually posted the video to Youtube last year and forgot to share it on my blog...silly me. At any rate, it is here now lol. Juice Fast day 26!

Well, Well, Well...today is day 26  of my fast. Yipppppy!!!! Okay, as you can see I am extremely happy that day 30 is just around the corner. This will be my last weekend on this fast...whew! I am not really craving pizza or anything today though. Probably because I know the end of this journey is near lol. This week has been okay. As discussed last week in my 3 week update video, I decided to cut back on juice. For breakfast I have my usual 32 oz. and then for lunch and dinner I do a diluted version of half juice/half water. This has made it easier for me to get all of the juice down without wanting to vomit. Plus, the scale is moving at a decent pace.

In other news, I have talked hubby into doing a mini fast over the weekend with me. This should be fun! I wanted him to see a glimpse of what this journey has been like for me. So he will be fasting tonight(Friday), Saturday, and Sunday. He is looking forward to it because the juice tastes good. However, it is harder than it looks. And hopefully he will realize how hard it has been for me. Of course three days isn't long at all. But I think it's enough for him to get a little taste of the fasting life. Ideally seven days would provide a closer glimpse of the fasting lifestyle...but there is no way he could do that. He is already very skinny, so that would be too dangerous.

I will keep you posted on how the hubby holds up lol! Happy Friday folks!

Juice Fast Day 20!

Hello heartbreakers,

It has been a few days since I posted a blog about my juicing process. So far, I have still managed to stay food-free. I've had a few temptations, and often think about food. However, I will say this weekend has been the easiest so far. It always seems like as soon as Friday comes...the cravings for pizza come right along with it lol. However, I have been fine this weekend. I'm not going to lie, juicing sucks. At this time I have sucked it up, and I am just waiting for the time to pass.

I am having a hard time getting down my lunch and dinner juices. I typically make a version of the popular "mean green" juice recipe. It started out okay during week one. But by the time I got to week two, it was getting old fast! It makes me feel like I am drinking pickle juice. The weird thing is....I actually like pickle juice and drink it when I am feeling queezy. But this taste like the worst possible pickle juice or something - idk. Maybe I am going delirious at this point lol! I literally gagged and almost vomited just getting down my lunch juice tonight. Sadly, I still have a 32 oz. one to drink for dinner tonight. I honestly don't know how I can get this down without throwing up.

The good news??? Well, I only have 9 more days as of tomorrow. So after tonight I will have 18 more disgusting lunches/dinners left. The breakfast ones are actually good though. Still, I can't wait to eat again. Luckily, I am mostly craving healthy foods. Luckily...

Juice Fast Day 8

Hello heartbreakers!

at 11:52 a.m.

So, the last time I posted here, things were a bit shaky. Friday was the worst day yet. However, I made it through! I was also a little miffed Saturday when I weighed in 1lb heavier than the previous day! I decided to go for a walk and increase my water intake. I had been slacking on my water intake for about three days at this point. I think I went down to just 4 glasses a day instead of 8. Never again lol!

It is now day 8 of my juice fat...but technically one week (since I stated last Monday). Today has been great so far. My husband has been able to eat around me here and there, and it hasn't made me crazy lol. For the most part, he keeps his meals out of sight though.

As always, I woke up and weighed in this morning! I won't reveal how much I am down just yet...but it will be revealed in a video/vlog later today!

Oh, and here's what I juiced for breakfast...it was divine!

  • 4 oranges
  • 1/2 of a grapefruit
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 inch of ginger
  • about 8 carrots
